Editor’s Note
In the coming months, Western Humanities Review will be undergoing another of its periodic changes in form. From the midst of this transition, we are pleased to present a feature on experimental translation, “New Nature/Drunken Mischief: Translation as Mutation,” co-edited by Joe Milutis and Anna Rosenwong. We are sincerely grateful to Joe and Anna for their hard work on this project and for bringing more than 40 poets and artists to our pages. Several other works in this issue, including our art feature on Duane Linklater, also resonate with translation’s transformations, including the winning prose entry of the 2014 Mountain West Writers’ Contest. We congratulate Adam Weinstein and Raphael Dagold, our poetry winner, as well as runners up Joanna Luloff (prose) and Lauren Camp (poetry), and all the entrants. We also want to extend our thanks to this year’s judges, Kellie Wells (prose) and Kathleen Graber (poetry). We hope you enjoy the turns of this issue and look forward to meeting you again on the other side.
